We are delighted to have Ms Albertina Palalane as the Master of Ceremony to the Tenth EDCTP Forum. Ms Palalane will act as our virtual host and will communicate with both virtual and in-person participants of the Forum. She will be the main presenter of our pre-event on Sunday and give a warm welcome to delegates to our host country Mozambique. Forum delegates will also see Ms Palalane throughout the other days, where she will pop in to give announcements, and keep audiences in Maputo and around the world engaged and informed on what’s coming on the day.
Albertina Lucia Palalane Zandamela Namburete is a press officer, journalist, presenter and editor. With a Master’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies by The University of Sussex in the United Kingdom, Albertina has been working in communications for more than 20 years. She currently works at the British High Commission in Maputo as a Regional Senior Communications Officer. Prior to this position she worked at BBC in Brighton, TVM in Mozambique, Panavideo Production, Radio Mozambique and she conducted several campaigns.
Albertina also has experience in diplomacy with a Bachelor degree in International relations and diplomacy. She was part of the supporting team for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex Royal visit to Angola.
